Modem

Overview

The modem talks QMI. These cells use the QMI client that ExLocation starts at boot, so they work with or without cellular data configured.

Modem identity

QMI.DeviceManagement.get_serial_numbers(qmi)

imei is the modem's IMEI.

QMI.DeviceManagement.get_operating_mode(qmi)

Network

These need a SIM card.

QMI.NetworkAccess.get_home_network(qmi)

QMI.NetworkAccess.get_signal_strength(qmi)

rssi is in dBm; closer to 0 is stronger.

Mobile data

Mobile data is only set up when the firmware was built with the SIM's APN (FP3_APN=...). Then the connection shows up as rmnet0:

VintageNet.get(["interface", "rmnet0", "connection"])

:internet means the phone is online over the modem.
