About this notebook
ggplot2's reference page for economics,
which covers economics_long too, has no examples, so this notebook says only what the page
describes and where Giggly stands.
economics holds US economic time series from the data published at fred.stlouisfed.org: for
each of 574 months, personal consumption expenditures, the total population, the personal savings
rate, the median duration of unemployment and the number of people unemployed. economics is in
wide format, a column per series; economics_long holds the same series in long format, a row per
month and series, with each series also rescaled to run from 0 to 1, in value01, so all five can
share an axis. Giggly.Datasets.economics/0 is economics and Giggly.Datasets.economics_long/0
is economics_long, their date columns dates, which Giggly puts on an axis as ggplot2 does.
