ggplot2's reference page for guide_none() has no examples, so this notebook says only what the page describes and where Giggly stands.

guide_none() is a guide that draws nothing. Given to a scale's guide argument or to guides(), it leaves that scale without an axis or legend. Giggly writes it :none, in a scale's guide: or in Giggly.Plot.guides/2, which leaves out a legend or colour bar, but has no guide_none() and no way to leave out an axis.
