Engineering Journal

You’re going to create an engineering journal and connect it with GitHub.

> It’s a great habit to keep an engineering journal. You can use your engineering journal to track how you solve problems and what you work on. It’s also excellent practice with Git, GitHub, and markdown.

Requirements

• Create a local project called engineering_journal
• Use Obsidian, Foam, an alternative markdown-based journal, or just plain markdown files to create content in your journal.
• Use Git to stage and commit one or more journal entries.
• Connect your engineering_journal project with GitHub and push your changes.

We highly recommending continuing to use this journal to track what you learn about Elixir.

Commit Your Progress

DockYard Academy now recommends you use the latest Release rather than forking or cloning our repository.

Run git status to ensure there are no undesirable changes. Then run the following in your command line from the curriculum folder to commit your progress.

$ git add .
$ git commit -m "finish Github Engineering Journal exercise"
$ git push
